The Shift Foundation is Mental Health organization that focused on teens and young adults ages 13 to 35.

Description

The Shift Mental Health forum was a one day event where 12 teens came together to discuss and express their experiences. The teens were supported by mental health professionals to ‘Let it Out’ and producers who aimed to Shift the conversation surrounding the topic.

Project SCOPE
  • Invite teens who had suffered trauma around mental health.
  • Promote a healthy forum for the teens to discuss their issues amongst each other.
  • Encouraged healing via empathy and understanding.
  • Capture the forum on film so that it could be shared with other teens who felt similarly and to give them an opportunity to seek support.

Project Result

Our immediate goal is to complete the testing phase and achieve the certification, which will allow us to bring our product to market by the end of the year. We are actively engaging with waste to energy operators, concrete manufacturers, and the wider construction industry.

  • All teens became advocates for Mental Health discussions.
  • The Shift was awarded for their work in the mental health arena.
  • Teens have become more confident and competent in their lives.
  • Teens that partook in the program have come back to support other Shift events.
